What’s Triggering Your Migraines?

In short, there are three broad groups of triggers for migraines, physical, chemical and or emotional stressors. Offcourse each person is unique, one set of triggers for one person will not be the same as the next. The best thing you can do as a starting point is grab yourself a diary, let’s call it a migraine diary and document the following:

  • Time of Migraine?
  • What were you doing around the time of the migraine?
  • How long did the migraine occur for?
  • What symptoms did you experience during the migraine?
  • What did you do to make it feel better?

Once you have documented these for a few weeks, you may be able to see particular patterns and trends. Having this information will also serve to be a point of reference for the benefits of any changes you make along the way.
