David Wong
Podiatrist

David Wong has over 18 years of experience in Podiatry specializing in abnormal biomechanics, the “Diabetic Foot” and wound care. He is a specialist consultant podiatrist at the High Risk Foot Clinic at R.P.A.H Diabetes Centre, and also at Therapies for Kids, where focus is in treating “Kids with special needs”. He recently held the position of coordinator of High Risk Foot services for Concord Repatriation hospital for over 10 years, and has previously worked with Leprosy patients in both India and Nepal.
David has been a highly regarded speaker at major foot forums such as the Beijing International Foot Conference 2008, Australasian Podiatry Association Conference 2009, RPAH Diabetic Foot Symposium 2006/2008 and the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons 6th Scientific Symposium 2010, and the Australasian Podiatry Conference 2013. He was also the advisor to the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia’s Diabetes Foot Education Sessions.
Working in the public podiatry arena, David has gained much experience treating abnormal biomechanics. He is well versed in all conventional orthotic therapies and stays abreast of new developments in his field such as the new and exciting field of Sensomotoric orthotics. Whether it is a runner with a foot or ankle injury, child with Cerebral Palsy or something more complex such as a person with a partially amputated foot, it has been David’s task to get these clients pain free and performing at their best. With this philosophy in mind, David brings his expertise and skills to Better Health to be of service to you and your family.
Nicole Quirk

Nicole comes to Better Health Practice with a passion for improving the health of her patients with compassion and respect. She is a great communicator who strives to solve problems together with her patients with practical and evidence-based treatments.
Nicole has a Bachelor of Science from The University of Sydney and has worked within the health industry gaining extensive clinical knowledge in diabetes, pain management, dermatology and others.
Now as a qualified podiatrist, Nicole has experience with patients of all ages from a few months old to 103! Nicole works to find solutions that work for her patients, whether it be skin and nail issues or foot and ankle pain. In addition to providing general foot care, Nicole has special interests in nail surgery, exercise therapies and orthotic therapy.
Nicole is a mother of 2 school-aged children so knows the importance of staying on your toes. She enjoys bushwalking and relaxing on the weekends and has recently taken up soccer to pursue fitness and have fun.
